Dr. Clarissa (Burton) Rippee, EdS, is the Executive Director of Burton Institute of Education™. She is an educator, published author, poet, essayist, blogger, and public speaker having been published in the Charleston Post-Courier, the KC Star, Flourish Mag, and the KC Small Biz Monthly as well as a contributing writer for BlogHer and HubPages. She is also a Hometown Reads Kansas City Ambassador. Clarissa is a Navy veteran having served from 1984 to 1990. She has a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Business, and an EdS in Adult Education. Clarissa lives in the Midwest with her husband.
